THE SHORT ANSWER

TLDR

Sunseeker is a British motor-yacht builder founded in Poole in 1969. Its ranges span performance-led cruisers, flybridge yachts and larger, volume-focused yachts. For a French Riviera purchase, start with your cruising style, annual budget and berth requirements; then compare individual yachts, not just model names. Yachting on the Côte d’Azur provides a personal buyer-side search, not a manufacturer dealership or a live inventory.

HERITAGE

What is the history of Sunseeker?

Robert and John Braithwaite established the business in Poole in 1969. Its early development was rooted in small leisure craft, with the first boats launching in the early 1970s. Performance and distinctive styling became central to its identity.

The range subsequently expanded from sports cruisers into flybridge motor yachts and larger yachts. The Ocean family, introduced in 2021 with the 90 Ocean, represents a shift towards more volume and residential-style living without abandoning the brand’s motor-yacht heritage.

MODELS, NOT MARKETING RANKINGS

Which Sunseeker models should you compare?

What do we know about the best-selling models?

The official sources cited here do not establish a current model-by-model sales ranking. Manhattan, Predator and Ocean are useful model-family starting points, not a verified list of the best-selling Sunseekers on the Riviera. Historical model names and newer names may coexist in advertisements; verify the actual build year and specification.

Model examples below help you form a shortlist. New and pre-owned configurations vary; inclusion does not confirm current availability.

Manhattan

Flybridge layouts for sociable family cruising and time outdoors.

Before you buy: Compare flybridge access, shade, stabilisation equipment and cabin layout on the exact yacht.

Predator

A sportier, enclosed-cockpit approach for buyers prioritising underway experience.

Before you buy: Review engine service history, propulsion, fuel use at your intended speed and roof mechanisms.

Yacht range

Larger motor yachts with more separation between guest living and onboard operation.

Before you buy: Establish crew requirements, annual operating costs and the practicalities of your home berth.

Ocean / 90 Ocean

A volume-led approach, with an emphasis on open-plan living and longer stays aboard.

Before you buy: Assess beam and berth fit as carefully as length; confirm the actual onboard equipment.

LOOKING AHEAD

What is Sunseeker’s future vision?

Sunseeker announced a standardised, length-based global model-naming convention in September 2025, connecting it to portfolio expansion and its larger-yacht strategy. For used-yacht buyers, this makes careful identification more important than relying on a listing headline.

The Ocean range signals continued interest in space, indoor-outdoor living and comfort. Sunseeker’s corporate material also discusses responsible operations, but the sources here do not substantiate a fleet-wide emissions target. A newer yacht should not automatically be described as low-emission.

These are dated manufacturer statements and developments, not promises of future resale values, delivery times or environmental performance. Supporting publications are listed below.

YOUR YACHT. YOUR RIVIERA.

How do you buy a Sunseeker on the French Riviera?

Choose a performance-led cruiser only if its operating profile fits your season. For a flybridge or Ocean yacht, prioritise usable outdoor space, stabilisation and the exact dimensions your Riviera port can accommodate.

Yachting on the Côte d’Azur is a sister company of Living on the Côte d’Azur, led by Anthony Laudin. Our starting point is your brief, followed by a buyer-side search across the market and introductions to independent specialists when needed. We are not presented here as an authorised Sunseeker dealer, and no boat on this page is a confirmed sales listing.

  1. Define your brief. Guests, cruising plans, budget and timing guide the acquisition journey. Read how to buy a yacht on the French Riviera before shortlisting.
  2. Confirm the yacht and the documents. Request title, tax and registration evidence, service history and refit records. Commission an independent survey and sea trial before committing.
  3. Cost the whole ownership plan. Use our Finance & Ownership guide to separate purchase costs from annual berth, crew, insurance, fuel and maintenance budgets. Obtain yacht-specific quotes.
  4. Secure a workable home port. Compare Cannes, Antibes and the coast towards Monaco using the 57-marina directory. Read how Riviera waiting lists work; a seller’s berth does not automatically transfer.

Are there Sunseeker yachts available now?

Availability changes and must be confirmed with the seller or appointed representative. This page does not maintain live inventory. Send your criteria through our confidential yacht brief so the search can be shaped around your requirements.

What does a Sunseeker cost?

There is no responsible single price for the brand. Model, age, condition, specification, tax status and location all matter. Asking prices are not completed-sale evidence. Request a yacht-specific comparison and independent legal and tax advice before agreeing terms.
