Riva Boats & Yachts for Sale on the French Riviera
A Lake Iseo legend. A Riviera way of life.

THE SHORT ANSWER
TLDR
Riva began in 1842 in Sarnico on Lake Iseo, founded by Pietro Riva. Today its identity spans classic wooden boats, open motorboats, sportfly and larger yachts. A Riviera buyer should distinguish a collectible classic from a modern cruising yacht: condition, maintenance and use differ substantially. We guide a buyer-side search from your brief, without claiming to be a Riva dealer or advertising unverified available boats.

HERITAGE
What is the history of Riva?
Pietro Riva established the boatyard in Sarnico in 1842, initially repairing and building boats. Later generations developed the business; Carlo Riva’s era helped give its wooden runabouts their enduring international identity.
That heritage continues alongside modern composite motorboats and much larger yachts. The classic Aquarama and the modern Aquariva are different boats from different eras. A buyer should not treat the Riva name as shorthand for one material, size or ownership experience.
Riva’s 2025 Aquariva announcement reported more than 300 units over 24 years of production. This is a model-family production milestone, not proof that Aquariva is the brand’s best-selling model or the most traded boat on the French Riviera. Classic reputation and collector interest are also not guarantees of resale value.
Model examples below help you form a shortlist. New and pre-owned configurations vary; inclusion does not confirm current availability.
Aquarama / classic wooden Rivas
Heritage boats for buyers considering craftsmanship and a collectible ownership experience.
Before you buy: Commission a wooden-boat specialist to review structure, restoration provenance, originality and storage needs.
Aquariva
A modern open runabout carrying forward the brand’s classic visual language.
Before you buy: Inspect finishes, upholstery, machinery and protection or storage arrangements between outings.
Dolceriva / Rivale
Open motorboats and cruisers for day use and time aboard on the Mediterranean.
Before you buy: Compare shade, boarding, overnight accommodation and sea-trial comfort for your actual plans.
Perseo Super / Bahamas Super
Larger sportfly and open-yacht propositions, beyond compact runabout ownership.
Before you buy: Obtain a full operating budget and confirm crew needs, propulsion history and the exact berth dimensions.
Riva presented El-Iseo in 2024 as its first fully electric boat. That is a specific model development, not a claim that the broader Riva range has become electric. Battery condition, charging access and intended trip lengths are central purchase questions.
Its 2025 announcements also included updated open-boat designs such as Iseo Super and Aquariva Special. The direction combines heritage styling with modern equipment and selective electrification. Classic Riva ownership will still demand specialist care; new technology does not change the maintenance needs of older wooden boats.

YOUR YACHT. YOUR RIVIERA.
How do you buy a Riva on the French Riviera?
For day trips around Cannes or Saint-Tropez, comfort, shade and returning safely aboard can matter more than a recognisable silhouette. For a classic wooden Riva, discuss specialist storage and restoration before discussing price. For an electric boat, confirm suitable charging at your intended berth.
Yachting on the Côte d’Azur is a sister company of Living on the Côte d’Azur, led by Anthony Laudin. Our starting point is your brief, followed by a buyer-side search across the market and introductions to independent specialists when needed. We are not presented here as an authorised Riva dealer, and no boat on this page is a confirmed sales listing.
Confirm the yacht and the documents. Request title, tax and registration evidence, service history and refit records. Commission an independent survey and sea trial before committing.
Cost the whole ownership plan. Use our Finance & Ownership guide to separate purchase costs from annual berth, crew, insurance, fuel and maintenance budgets. Obtain yacht-specific quotes.
Secure a workable home port. Compare Cannes, Antibes and the coast towards Monaco using the 57-marina directory. Read how Riviera waiting lists work; a seller’s berth does not automatically transfer.
Are there Riva yachts available now?
Availability changes and must be confirmed with the seller or appointed representative. This page does not maintain live inventory. Send your criteria through our confidential yacht brief so the search can be shaped around your requirements.
What does a Riva cost?
There is no responsible single price for the brand. Model, age, condition, specification, tax status and location all matter. Asking prices are not completed-sale evidence. Request a yacht-specific comparison and independent legal and tax advice before agreeing terms.
